The Chambersburg Ballet presents this traditional holiday classic, with a cast of over 40 local dancers and professional guest artists. The Nutcracker tells the story of a young girl on Christmas Eve in 2 Acts, and her adventures with a magical Nutcracker, an evil Mouse King, and a beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy. Truly colorful and magical, with over 100 colorful costumes designed and handmade by local artisans, The Nutcracker is a must-see holiday event for the entire family.

It’s become a Capitol Theatre tradition to show this wonderful, tune-filled, family Christmas movie featuring Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen, over the past several years. We’re going to start a new tradition in 2019 with a new title which you’ll be able to help choose while attending White Christmas this year. Note the change in screen time for the evening performance. The traditional social time between films will not change.
