Comedy at the Capitol

Presented by: Capitol Theatre

Show Partner: 11/30 Network

THESE TWO NEW STANDUP COMEDY SHOWS HAVE JUST BEEN JUST ADDED!!

ALLAN GOODWIN – Headliner

Allan Goodwin is one of the funniest and respected comics on the circuit today, who brings the laughter to any room, anywhere, anytime. He connects with his audiences with relevant material describing his own observations and experiences including living with ADD.

Al has performed on LAUGHS on FOX, was a finalist in the 2014 World Series of Comedy, and represented the East Coast in Las Vegas in HBO’s Lucky 21 Comedy Contest. You can also catch Al in the 4th season of House of Cards.  Al was a winner on America’s Funniest People, played almost every club and college in the country, and has opened for Jim Gaffigan, Kathleen Madigan, Dave Chappelle, and Steven Wright.

For a Video Preview of Allan Goodwin click –> https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=54&v=X0AxziOHHOM

JARED STERN – Feature

Jared has been making complete strangers laugh at him for over a decade. From humble beginnings at a hole-in-the-wall club in Baltimore, he is now the most-humble person in the world, not that he’s one to brag about it. He was recently told that his comedy was “top drawer”, which is where he keeps his socks and underwear, so that makes sense.

During his career he has performed with the likes of Mike Birbiglia, Judah Friedlander, Richard Lewis, Tom Arnold, John Witherspoon, Jon Lovitz, Emo Philips, and Caroline Rhea. He was voted the 2013 Best Comedian in D.C. by the readers of the Washington City Paper. He was a featured performer at the 2017 What A Joke Fest and the 2018 LaughFest. His new album, A Couple of Characters, is now available on XM, iTunes, and Spotify.

IRWIN LORING – Host.

Irwin was the Featured comid in November and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. His comedy revolves around his family, relationships, religion, and society in general. He was raised in a farming community in upstate New York, by a single Jewish mother household. He blames his mother for his bizarre views on parenting, and his overall outlook on life. He brings an energy to the room that makes audiences laugh wherever he performs. His style can be described as a mix of David Brenner and George Carlin, with a touch of Don Rickles.
