Location & Directions

Located in South Central Pennsylvania, The Historic Capitol Theatre can easily be reached via Interstate travel.

From D.C. and Eastern Maryland:

Take I-70 West to Hagerstown Maryland and turn North on I-81.

From other parts of PA and Northern States:

The Pennsylvania Turnpike connects with I-81 South.

As you approach the Chambersburg area on I-81, take exit 16, US toward Route 30 West to Chambersburg. This will become a one-way street. Move to the left lane. At the Town Square, the intersection of US 30 and US 11 South, turn left onto South Main Street. (South Main Street is Route 11) The Capitol Theatre is one and one-half blocks south on the right side of this one-way street.

Capitol Theatre Parking

Street parking is limited to two-hour meters Monday thru Friday, and FREE after 5pm, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Parking is also available behind M&T Bank, which can be accessed by both Route 30 East and West, and at Southgate Shopping Center located on W. Washington St. Make a right at the light after the theatre, and Southgate Shopping Center parking is down a block on the left.

Kerrstown Square parking is off-limits to Capitol patrons.
