Welcome to The Capitol Theatre Center in beautiful downtown Chambersburg, Pennsylvania located midway between Gettysburg, PA and Hagerstown, MD. This new Center includes the historic 852-seat Capitol Theatre with expanded restrooms, large concession area, and coat room, more visible box office, gift shop and an elevator.

The theatre presents many of its own Capitol Theatre performances and concerts each year, as well as being the home for productions by the resident theatrical company, the Chambersburg Community Theatre. The Capitol Theatre is also a popular place to rent for fundraising events. The Theatre is available for rent as the calendar permits. On The Capitol Theatre Center’s second level, you will find the Wood Center Stage Theatre, a dramatic all-purpose room with the capability of seating up to 160 people. This room is available to rent as a banquet facility, reception area, meeting room or as a theatrical performance venue.
